Pre & Post Care.
Prior to BBL Treatment
– Avoid any type of sunburn or suntan for 4 weeks prior to BBL treatments. Prolonged sun exposure should be avoided for 4-weeks before and after treatments.
– Do not use any self-tanning lotions at least one month prior to treatment.
– Discontinue the use of vitamin a and differin at least one week prior to treatment, as they may cause photosensitivity.
– Please notify us if you have a history of “herpes,” “cold sores,” or “fever blisters”.
Post to BBL Treatment
– Redness, warmth, are normal reactions following a BBL treatment.
– Brown patches or spots will become darker and frequently feel scaly like coffee grounds on your skin within the first few days. Within 1-2 weeks these areas will fall off and leave new, healthy skin behind. Do not pick or scrub these spots, no matter how tempting!
– To keep your skin lubricated, the use of a mild moisturizer, Such as Hyal ceutic twice daily for the first week following the treatment is recommended.
– Avoid the use of skin care products that contain Retinol, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid for 1 week.
– Makeup can be used straight away.
– Prolonged sun exposure should be avoided before and after treatments.. A total sunblock, like Kceutic containing zinc oxide should be applied daily if you are going to be in the sun

Our eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. Usually, there is no need for a topical anesthetic; however, your clinician may choose to use one when treating more sensitive areas. You may briefly feel a warm or quick snapping sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. Your procedure may take a few minutes to half an hour depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of procedure performed.

Most clients describe it as warm flicks on the skin. It is generally very well tolerated.

This is a non invasive and gentle procedure with virtually NO DOWNTIME. In most cases, you are able to return to work, apply makeup, and resume most of your activities immediately.

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated area followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Your treated skin will feel smoother, pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated. Your clinician will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care and results.

It is important to follow your clinician’s treatment advice. We can suggest some skin care products and instructions on how to use them. You will be sensitive to ultraviolet light, and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Fully cover your skin or use a good sunscreen wherever you go outdoors.
